Kristina M. Hansen joined the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District as the Superintendent on July 1, 2025.  Prior to her work at the DSISD, Dr. Hansen has served as a grant coordinator, an elementary classroom teacher, a building principal, a student success coordinator, and a district superintendent.  Her educational career has allowed Dr. Hansen to work in 4 of the 8 local DSISD school districts - Hannahville Indian School/Nah Tah Wahsh PSA, Gladstone Area Schools, Bark River-Harris Schools, and Manistique Area Schools. As a lover of learning, Dr. Hansen has enjoyed educational pursuits and has earned 6 degrees.  She holds an Associate of Arts degree from Bay College and a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, and an Education Specialist degree all from Northern Michigan University.  In 2020, Dr. Hansen completed her Doctor of Education degree at Central Michigan University.  She continues to learn and grow as a professional by attending conferences, taking online courses, collaborating with peers, and reading. While at the DSISD, Dr. Hansen hopes to “level up” the services available from the DSISD and focus on the mission of the organization: “Partners in education making a difference in the lives of all.”  Please contact Dr. Hansen with questions about the Delta-Schoolcraft ISD by emailing ([email protected]) or calling (906-786-9300 ext. 102).
